Friax Wine Cellar Conditioner
With a wine cellar conditioner, transforming almost any space into a wine cellar is now easier than ever. To guarantee that your vintages age to perfection and remain in prime condition, the Friax Split System Wine Cellar Conditioner can maintain the ideal temperature and humidity levels for your wine collection. Typically, a cellar should have approximately 60mm of insulation all around. In cases where this may not be feasible, we offer more robust systems that can provide the necessary compensation.

Description
Split System Wine Cellar Conditioner
- Split System Conditioning Equipment / Wine Cellar Conditioning Unit:
- Comprises two main components:
- An Evaporator: Typically located in or near the cellar room.
- A Condensing Unit: Normally mounted on the exterior of a building, on a wall or on the ground. It can be surrounded by fencing or trellis as long as airflow isn’t obstructed.
- Comprises two main components:
- Connection:
- The evaporator and condenser are linked by two small copper pipes.
- Distance Limitation:
- The maximum distance between the condensing unit and evaporator is 20 metres.
- Note: Consult with us for possible extensions based on your specific requirements. This applies to the Friax split system wine cellar conditioner as well.
All our split-systems feature noise suppression and active humidity control (water supply required).
For customers who do not wish to see the evaporator unit, we use specially adapted units which can be concealed in ceiling voids or within furniture inside the cellar. This way, all that is visible are two decorative grills. There are 4 different types of evaporator:
Friax Split System Wine Cellar Conditioner EVPL
– The evaporator is attached to the ceiling or wall and is in full view.
EVG
– The evaporator is housed in a nearby room or space and ducted through to two grills on the ceiling or wall.
EVI
– The evaporator is housed inside the cellar and concealed with a decorative surround
EVA
– The evaporator is housed inside a cabinet.

CONDENSING UNIT
To guarantee proper ventilation, the condensing unit is invariably positioned outdoors. In residential installations, we strongly recommend the BNS option, which effectively minimises the noise generated by the condensing unit.
THE WINE SUPERVISOR
The Wine Supervisor lets you remotely monitor and control your cellar’s temperature and humidity.
